ALGAL OIL
Statistically, we eat up to 25 times more Omega-6 than Omega-3, promoting chronic inflammation and oxidative stress. 1, 2

Omega-3 e omega-6: an important balance
The consequences of the modern diet
In recent decades, the modern diet has upset our natural lipid balance.
The massive use of industrial vegetable oils (soy, corn, sunflower) has brought the ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 from a healthy 2:1 or 4:1 up to a worrying 25:1 2
The effects of excess Omega-6
Excessive omega-6 intake, typical of the modern diet, is associated with increased production of lipid mediators involved in the body’s normal inflammatory processes. When this balance is persistently shifted, the physiological environment can become less favorable for maintaining overall well-being. 1,2
For this reason, restoring the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio to more balanced values through diet is an important nutritional strategy.
What do EPA and DHA really control?
Long-chain omega-3s, particularly EPA and DHA, are essential components of cell membranes.

AlgOmega®
Nowadays, most commercially available fish is farmed, and therefore no longer contains significant amounts of DHA unless added manually.
Likewise, the quality of fish oils can vary depending on extraction and preservation processes, impacting the oxidative stability of the finished product.
Schizochytrium algal oil is the primary, plant-based, and sustainable source of pure, highly bioavailable, and contaminant-free DHA. 7
In AlgOmega®, DHA is included in a formulation that integrates the Klamath microalgae and its Klamin extract, in a nutritional complex designed for absorption and balanced formula.
This combination is suitable for different life stages, as a nutritional support within a balanced diet:

PREGNANCY
* The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA (and/or EPA + DHA).
Promoting a correct ratio between Omega-6 and Omega-3 is essential for the well-being of the body!
